MEET ME..

My complete name is María Esther Torrecilla Navarrete and I was born in April 27th, 1984, so I am 16 years old now. I have short brown straight hair and an always peaceful oval face with populated dark brown eyebrows, just like my deep pensive eyes. I have a straight nose, neither too short nor too long. I have a small black mole in the top right side of my mouth, and maybe not too thin lips. I am thin and about 1.55 m. tall. I am a pensive and responsible girl which is always looking for something to do and think about, just like my mother. I think I am a really sensible, almost exaggerating, and friendly person, but most of the people don't know it because by the same time I am shy. I could say that I am not a very interesting person, but many people likes to talk to me because I like to help everyone to solve their problems. I'll just say that I love the way I am and I wouldn't change anything about myself.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE PLACE.

Most of the people would think that this is really weird, but, although you don't believe it, my favorite place to visit and stay is the Malecón de Veracruz. It is an amazing place where you can walk or sit all the day and see lots of people going trough all this beautiful place. Adjacent to the Malecón de Veracruz, you'll find the seaport with many ships and boats that contain all kind of things and food. Straight ahead the Malecón de Veracruz, are many shops, where you can find all kinds of clothes, souvenirs, jewels, adornments, candies and typical stuff from that great state, Veracruz. Close to the Malecón de Veracruz is the famous restaurant "La Parroquia", almost known by everyone for it's famous coffee named "Lechero" and it's cheerful ambient. On the Malecón de Veracruz are some statues of famous people and important movements or dates. Next to this known place are many hotels, discotheques, restaurants and tourist places to pass great time with your friends and parents. I could also talk of what I feel about this place and all the great moments I have lived there, but I'll never finish. This is a very beautiful and cool place, but what does it has that makes it so special?… I'll just say that what makes it so special is the hospitable people, the ambient, and the way YOU make it special. I just love and extremely miss this place.

ONE WEEKEND WITH MARIA ESTHER

It seems to be always the same...

Weekends now seem to be always the same, of course mine are definitively like that. A normal weekend in my life is half of fun and half of boring things. I’ll start saying that on Fridays I use to get home almost like 6:oo p.m., that’s because I have a lot of things to do at school. On Saturdays, I use to wake up at 8:00 o’clock and make exercise here at home, then I take a rest for about 7 hours doing “nothing”, until about 5:00 p.m.. After that I start doing my homework and to order my school’s stuff. Finally, I go to sleep and that’s all my Saturday. That’s the boring half, but the fun half happens on Sundays, when me and my family usually go to Mazatepec, Morelos, where my parents are building a camping house. We spent almost all the day there, resting, playing, enjoying the fresh air and the camp and many other activities. Many times we invite some family friends so they can “meet” the house and we all spend a better time. After that amazing day ends, for about 7:00 p.m., we get back to our home, here in México, and go to sleep. That’s how I spend all my weekend’s time.

MY BEST ANECDOTE.

This is really strange, but it has been, from that moment on, the greatest thing I've ever lived. It all started in April 20th, 1996 with and ISSE (International Social School Exchange) to Erie, Pennsylvania, USA. 1o persons, boys and girls, came to México for 3 weeks, and I received in my home a very special girl who's name is Rachel Schaffnit. During those 3 week I passed unmemorable moments with her and all her classmates, almost all the time with the girls. We went to typical and tourist places in México, like the Pyramids, Xochimilco, Ixtapan de la Sal, "La Ciudadela", Chapultepec, etc. I could clearly remember the name of each girl from Erie, like Jessica, Lindsey, Mary, Kassy and Rachel, and my mexican classmates, Brenda, Lucy, Melissa, Gab and me. But thinking of those moments, I could better remember my "Birthday Pijamas Party" on April 27th, in which all the girls came to my house and we celebrated my birthday with music, pizza, presents, and a special entertainment, the moment in which we took all my mom's beauty set and clothes, and we started to paint ourselves like Indians and strange people, with strange hair styles and strange clothes. We spend a funny time wasting my mom's stuff and making up ourselves in a weird way. At the end, we took a lot of group pictures and we took off all the make up and clothes and went to sleep. Maybe it is not the greatest experience a person could have in all the world, but for me is an amazing moment I'll never forget.
